64 more days.....

UNTIL I GET ON THAT PLANE!!!

Oh I am so excited. I even wrote a song. Its called Im Going to Italy (The Italian Song) and it goes like this;

Im going to Italy
Im going to Italy
On Janary 9th
at 2:30 PM
Im going to Italy
Im going to Italy
To study art
and eat pizza
Im going to Italy
Im going to Italy
YEAH! (jazz hands)

Trust me, it sounds alot better when its with the music and the dance routinue.  If I ever figure out how to post videos on this blog I will show ya'll.  :)

Things I am Excited About:

-I go to my first orientation this saturday. I will finally get to meet some people who are also going with me!
-On November 28th I get to sign up for classes! I hope I get some good ones, theres this one thats titled "Italian Art and Statues" which sounds fasicnating. Theres also another one called "Italinan 101; Launguage and Culture" which I definitly should take.
-I get a free month of online Italian lessons from JCU, this will be so helpful for me.
-I was able to get a window seat on the plane ride over to Italy. I remember when I flew to Poland we flew over greenland (iceland?) and we saw real icebergs. It was so cool. I never took any pictures though so this time I will!

Things I Definitely Want to Do When I am There:
-Eat Gelatto/Pizza/Pasta
-Visit Venice/Pompeii/Naples/The Vatican/Siciliy etc
-See Juliet's wall
-Go winetasting and eat cheese
-Visit all the museums
-Make a wish in the fountain from Three Coins in a Fountain
-Do the cheesy Holding Up The Leaning Tower of Piza photo

Things I am Worried About:
-Saying goodbye to everyone here. I will miss you all!
-Will I be homesick?
-What does Culture Shock actually feel like? Will I experience it?
- I wonder what its like to do laundry over there?
-Is there internet?
-How do I order a cup of coffee?
-Will I be able to cook?
-Are Italian men really as flirtatious as people say they are?

Hopefully I will look back on this post in like March and laugh and think "I was so silly to worry about any of these things....living in Italy is a piece of cake!"

Alrightly, I will end this post with the Italina Phrase of the Day, which is:

Mi puo scrivere il nome el l'indiriozzo?

Which means:

can you write down its name and address for me please?

Ciao!!

And the Italian Phrase of the day is.....

I piatti sono serviti con contorno incluso nel prezzo.

Which translates to, "Are vegetables included in the price of the dishes?"

Im gonna need this when Im eating in the restaurants in Italy! I just reveived one of the handbooks from SAI (Study Abroad Italy) which had all sorts of fun information! The apartments I'll be living in are over 600 years old, so much history. I am so excited. They said we will be getting "old medieval type looking keys" for our apartments, which is awesome. The apartment and JCU are about 30 minutes from eachother, so it will be a bit of a commute, but I dont mind at all. I can sightsee while walking to class.  Plus I'll need to walk off all the yummy italian pasta i'll be eating

The orientation schedule for the first week looks amazing! They are going to offer us Italian cooking classes, take us differant restaurants to eat, we're going to sightsee a bit and go wine tasting! Very exciting.

I havnt signed up for classes yet, thats not until the end of November. Hopefully I'll get some good ones!

This weekend we are booking my flight! WHOOPEEEEEEEEE IM GOING TO ITALY!

Ciao!
